As Reagan Would Say, “Government IS the Problem!”

Besides the contributions to an apparent increase in violence over the past 20 years or so in America such as psychiatric drugs and video addictions, another influence is the violence our government and its military inflict on innocents overseas. Perhaps some of the violence in America back in the ’60s and ’70s, from the Weather Underground and racial incidents etc., was influenced by our government’s bombings and mass murders in Vietnam during those years as well.

In response to the recent Las Vegas mass shooting, Jacob Hornberger wrote about the violence perpetrated by our government abroad that begets violence at home.

It seems, however, that I seriously underestimated the number of people that the Pentagon and the CIA have killed, especially if we go back to 1947, when the U.S. government was converted into a national-security state to oppose its WWII partner and ally the Soviet Union in the Cold War. According to an article entitled “Deaths in Other Nations Since WWII Due to US Interventions” published in 2007 on a website called, the U.S. government has actually killed some 20 million foreigners. That is definitely not a small number.

There is an important point to note: Not one single one of those 20 million people who were killed by U.S. personnel ever initiated violence against the United States. They were all killed “over there” by the U.S. government, which was initiating violence against them.

In a subsequent post, he also wrote:

Just look at American society.

Notice the tremendous intolerance that people have for the views of others, especially on college campuses, which have historically been places where opposing views are an enshrined part of college culture.

Notice the rage, incivility, or rudeness that has come to characterize many Americans who lose their temper for rather inconsequential reasons.

There are the ever-increasing suicide rates, including among young people.

And then there are the random acts of mass violence, like we have just seen in Las Vegas…

I contend: It is the natural consequence of a governmental death machine that has killed and that continues to kill tens of millions of people (overseas)…

And it’s worse than that. There is also the life of the lie to consider. Ministers all across the land. Announcers at big sports events. Airline officials. They have all helped to maintain the lie that the troops are over there killing all those people in the defense of our “rights and freedoms.” That’s been the charade – that all those killings have been done in self-defense. And the notion has been that as long as people believe it, that’s all that matters.

The problem is that it’s never been true. The sad reality is that of all the tens of millions of people that the U.S. government has killed since 1945, not one single one ever initiated any act of violence against the United States. In every single U.S. killing, it has been the U.S. government that has been the initiator of the violence against the victim. The “rights and freedom” bromide has been a lie from the get-go, a lie that is repeated in churches, sports events, airports, and elsewhere on a regular basis.

And I would say that most Americans believe the lies and propaganda that have been disseminated by bureaucrats in Washington as repeated word-for-word by their stenographers in the mainstream media, especially since 9/11/2001. Because of the brainwashing in America, those who tell the truth about our government’s aggressions (which provoke retaliation from foreigners) are called “unpatriotic,” even “traitors” for not agreeing with the government-approved narrative and not conforming along with the rest of the sheeple.

Meanwhile, the U.K. government is considering jailing people who not only publish but merely read “far-right propaganda” online. But the idiot Home Secretary Amber Rudd doesn’t tell us what she means by “far-right propaganda,” and she and the other idiot Prime Minister Theresa May are linking so-called “far-right propaganda” with “terrorist websites.”

Well, what about government propaganda (which is what we have gotten a lot of, especially since 9/11)?

These people are nuts, in my view. Both in the U.K. and in the U.S. They’re the ones who have been bombing the crap out of foreigners and provoking those people from primitive societies in the Middle East to retaliate. And those bureaucrats are the ones who have been violating their own citizens’ rights with Orwellian thought-crimes and speech-crimes policies that will not reduce incidences of terrorism.

And then there is the “Russia-gate” crusade not only to get rid of Trump but to give government more control over the Internet.

Don’t believe what the government and its lapdog media are telling you about terrorism. A lot of it is made up or deliberately instigated by western governments themselves.

The Powers That Be do not want the people to have or exercise their freedom of speech, freedom of thought and conscience, freedom of association, and freedom of assembly and the right to petition the government for redress of grievances. They just want you to sit down and shut up, and do what you’re told.

And they also crave the armed power that they have and they want more of it. That is why they lust to take away the people’s weaponry, their right to keep and bear arms. The Powers That Be lust to rule over a thoroughly disarmed civilian population. That is why they engage in false flags associated with their terrorism-paranoia propaganda. The bureaucrats of the U.S. and the U.K. in 2017 are no different from the bureaucrats of the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, communist China, and all the rest.

And I couldn’t believe what I was hearing this week from Michael Medved on the radio. He was saying that this belief that the Founders wrote the 2nd Amendment to protect the people from the tyranny of the government was incorrect. And that being armed wouldn’t have helped the Jews in Nazi Germany, or others in those totalitarian dictatorships of that era.

Medved is either just ignorant or simply lying. But based on what I’ve heard over the years, he has been a big authoritarian worshiper of the State and its authority, just like the other Salem radio personalities. But even this new one from him surprises me. (Especially given that he recently wrote a book about early America!)

What does Medved think enabled the Revolutionaries to actually fight against their British rulers’ soldiers? (Oh wait, he thinks it was a “miracle” that they beat the British. It was “divine providence” and all that. Never mind.)

But, back to reality, as Judge Andrew Napolitano wrote in one of his great articles on guns and freedom,

The principal reason the colonists won the American Revolution is that they possessed weapons equivalent in power and precision to those of the British government. If the colonists had been limited to crossbows that they had registered with the king’s government in London, while the British troops used gunpowder when they fought us here, George Washington and Jefferson would have been captured and hanged.

We also defeated the king’s soldiers because they didn’t know who among us was armed, because there was no requirement of a permission slip from the government in order to exercise the right to self-defense. (Imagine the howls of protest if permission were required as a precondition to exercising the freedom of speech.) Today, the limitations on the power and precision of the guns we can lawfully own not only violate our natural right to self-defense and our personal sovereignties; they assure that a tyrant can more easily disarm and overcome us.

The historical reality of the Second Amendment’s protection of the right to keep and bear arms is not that it protects the right to shoot deer. It protects the right to shoot tyrants, and it protects the right to shoot at them effectively, thus, with the same instruments they would use upon us. If the Jews in the Warsaw ghetto had had the firepower and ammunition that the Nazis did, some of Poland might have stayed free and more persons would have survived the Holocaust.

But sadly, what we have in America now is, as Jacob Hornberger observes, a truly dysfunctional society. The propagandized sheeple continue to blindly and obediently support the government in Washington and its warmongering abroad and its provoking foreigners. The youngins are terror-stricken at the thought of hearing opinions or viewpoints which differ from their own as they shout down speakers and cause cancellations and even commit acts of violence against others. Many people are strung out on prescription drugs, street drugs and booze, and many video-addicted and text-obsessed people are literally zombies staring into their screens, and on and on.

And we have not only shootings in gun-free zoned Las Vegas casinos, gun-free zoned Orlando nightclubs, and schools in gun-free zones that gun laws could not prevent, but also people ramming cars, vans and trucks into crowds that gun laws could also not prevent. (Should we ban cars and trucks? Sure.)

Don’t believe the propaganda, don’t rely on activists and politicians’ immediate emotional responses to fix the problems.

The real cause of the whole mess is the big, massive piece of waste in Washington, D.C. It needs to be dismantled completely, and the people liberated from its grasp.
